Proven Experience
Since its inception in 1980 as Satellite Movie Company, LodgeNet
has been proud to base its corporate headquarters in Sioux Falls,
South Dakota. With its high quality of life, centralized location
and access to a three-state base of employees, Sioux Falls is
the ideal home for a company of our size and reach. We also benefit
from sharing Sioux Falls with two nationally renowned hospitals,
giving us first-hand knowledge of industry trends and the emerging
needs of healthcare providers.
Stable Leadership
LodgeNet (NASDAQ: LNET) has been publicly traded since 1993 and
is guided by a senior management team with more than 85 years
of combined tenure. Our financial strength and stable leadership
have driven consistently high shareholder value while establishing
new industry standards of technological development, product innovation
and customer service and support.
Contact Center
LodgeNet was the first company in the lodging industry to establish
a 24x7, toll-free technical helpline. Today, our Contact Center
consists of nearly 90 generalists and specialists committed to
superior customer service. LodgeNet does not outsource its Contact
Center. All customer service and technical support representatives
are LodgeNet employees working at our corporate headquarters and
with access to a broad range of technical documentation, expert
training and resources to resolve issues over the phone whenever
possible.
Technical Operations
The Technical Operations Division brings together Field Service,
Installations and in-house Technical Training experts under the
leadership of a Senior Vice President. Between our corporate headquarters
and our network of field service offices, Technical Operations
comprises more than 500 positions – over 60% of our total
employee base and evidence of our commitment to superior system
performance for customers across North America.
Multimedia
LodgeNet employs the best and brightest graphic designers to put
an attractive “face” on your LodgeNetRX system. Our
experience is unsurpassed in designing graphical user interfaces
that are user friendly and can be customized to extend our customers’
identities and support their business objectives. We also conduct
regular research on how users interact with the TV and apply that
expertise to navigation protocols that enable our interactive
systems to “work” as well as they look!
Engineering And Technology Development
The Engineering and Technology Development (ETD) team is responsible
for new system and product development along with related project
management and documentation. Software development, system integration
and testing functions are included in ETD’s responsibilities
as well as supporting LodgeNet’s Contact Center representatives
and Installation technicians. Additionally, ETD researches, develops
and tests new and emerging technologies.
Marketing
The LodgeNet Marketing group consists of Market Research, Product
Management and Creative Services teams working together under
a Chief Marketing Officer to assess industry trends, develop brands
and strategy and build awareness of our system’s capabilities
and value propositions to diverse healthcare audiences and patients
in the room.
Healthcare
The LodgeNet Healthcare team is a cross-functional group dedicated
to helping healthcare professionals succeed in a dynamic and increasingly
competitive market. This team represents end-to-end expertise
ranging from engineering resources to brand management (effectively
customizing your system to meet your unique individual needs)
to project managers responsible for making the transition to our
system as seamless and “transparent” as possible.
System Production Group
Our System Production Group is responsible for assembling your
LodgeNetRX system. All LodgeNet systems are built by our own employees
at corporate headquarters and are extensively tested by an in-house
team before shipping to identify any initial component failures
and verify the hardware it will perform to specifications when
installed –a critical part of our processes in providing
a system that will serve your patients and staff reliably for
years to come.
Network Operations Center
Our Network Operations Center (NOC) is responsible for Internet
circuit procurement and management, including proactive monitoring
of more than 1,600 connectivity circuits across the nation. The
group employs state-of-the-art “auto-alert” systems
and technical diagnostic tools to quickly and efficiently resolve
problems – often before your staff or patients notice any
effect on service. The NOC is also responsible for LodgeNet’s
content distribution network, including our digital satellite
distribution network.
Quality Assurance
LodgeNet maintains a dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) group that
is responsible for testing system components when they are received
and while systems are being assembled. QA professionals also develop
and implement rigorous installation standards and travel to newly
installed and upgraded facilities to verify system performance
and provide follow-up training as needed.
